short stay MB hotel bang dung issan Thailand
as i missed the opening party last year i dropped buy last week to take a look a at the place its a very spacious feel to the whole hotel built on 2 levels the rooms are very large but unfortunately that as a down side
the place takes some cooling down but buy the time you have taken a cold shower its starting to cool down so its not so bad

ban dung does not have many places where its clean and room to turn around the short time bungalows are ok for 1 night but the MB hotel as come up trumps they have wi fi internet i did not try it out but its there to use

dang the owner is a widow of mark a friend of mine who passed away so iam happy that she at least is making a go of the place its looking like they will have more rivals soon but at 400 baht a night its not bad value


they have a small mini mart /fridge there at Thai prices and a bar to start our finish of the night the mb seems to be used buy tour groups doing the sights of issan and udon thani province

you can find the mb hotel not far from the hospital in ban dung which is right on the main road as you come in from udon thani if you stand in front of the hospital go up about a hundred meters to your right and its signposted to turn left
enjoy your stay its tucked away from the main road so you get a good nights sleep

Life in a Village issan Thailand

when you bring the family back from Europe it’s a pace of life that drops you from overdrive to a near slow our stop pace of life those that go on holiday for 2 weeks to chill out forget the Seychelles our Maldives if you really wont to wind down come to issan

I normally sleep and work buy the clock but here I do as they do the body clock works better that way but even doing my best I have failed to rise with my son and wife who normally in the uk struggle to wake buy 7 in the village there up showered and the boy is of for the day / off course the downside of living in the village is times like these when iam sat with no electric but the laptop still as some life so why not get a few words down
Mum and dad are going around as normal life does not stop in Thailand when the power goes down they just get on with it


My son was under cover from the rain this morning at are local noodle shop which is right across the road everything is handy out here
it seems to have stopped but we had decent rain for at least 2 hours it seems all the water we chucked around yesterday really worked

the wind is starting to blow again that’s a sure sign here we go again yes its started raining lovely and cool don’t need the fan on ok it doesn’t work at the moment but who cares

There’s nobody moaning about the rain out here it’s a part of life that plays a obvious important role in the cycle of things especially after the new year it brings hope to many for a good crop
A wise man ounce said you make your own problems but I prefer ali g phrase keep it real
if you didn’t make it to Thailand this year our you plan to come later enjoy village life I do

songkran ban dung issan Thailand

party time songkran ban dung issan Thailand

well i made it to ban dung for songkran this year and without a doubt so far as been one of the best in 10 years of coming top issan its been fun chilled out up lifting and with a decent bunch around you ban dung comes up trumps again
to get a view of a traditional songkran get a stool at eddies bar and have one of the best vista.s around ban dung was packed solid yesterday there was some very dodgy dancing going on buy myself and others maybe i should get the film censors on this before i publish it not sure

but anyway iam having a great time in issan apart from my very first water encounter as i left the village the day before yesterday after my 5 year old son held the mob back a gang of his friends with buckets and water pistols i was more then happy to let them but jamie said dont get my daddy in Thai very sweet

as i made my way across country on what used to be partly a red road last time we where home know tarmacked all the way to ban dung another group of small children
so i slowed down which is always the best thing to do dont try and speed up and avoid them that's how many people end up falling of when you get a kisser full of water

sh-t as i stopped i saw the water pulled directly from the pond near buy green and black looked terrible as they poured it over me it dident smell so good so lesson 101 learned avoid short cuts

even covered in smelly water songkran is still great fun and the people of issan give it there all with many correctly sprinkling water on you with a little talk on the cheeks forget the main tourist areas issan the place to go for songkran

i could be writing this post on udonmap but since they banned me a few friends and myself take to blogging to get the real stories from real people out not just things that sell services for udonmap udon thani.s no 1 site for been mislead

if your coming to issan check out some new sites with lots of good links and enjoy your stay you may never leave lots don't regards John
